Here my trying to explain the differences of the "haya - years" and their effectsġ. (if you turn the key 180° to the right you get 4° later for turbos or nitrous )Ī good friend of mine took this 4° wedge (earlier) to his 1441 ccm haya for now arround 5 years without any problems - using 95 (or more) german octane fuel. remember - no human beeing wants normally, caused by nature, to get leaned over than 20° sidewise, because then it fears to fall sidewise )Īt (scroll a lot down to " REMOVE THE IGNITION KEY") there is the woodruff wedge (half-moon key) with a fixed setting of 4 ° earlier ignition - with that wedge/key you don´t need to flash an ecu but you will get the same effect of softer throttle response like flashing 4°. (i´m several times per year on our, 40 mi away, little race track to 1st to have a lot of funĪnd 2nd to get out the natural 20° inclined position restriction. My experiance - the harder you want to go round corners the softer the throttle response should be.Ĭaused by that i will ask my brother to flash next weeks my ecu with 4° earlier at all rpm´s. These 4° earlier bring a much softer throttle response, which significantly improves driving, especially in areas with a lot of curves and helps to prevent the rear wheel from slipping away in a large inclined position - but it does not bring any more power ! ![]() So now, with the 32 bit, i can flash the ig.-point at ecu mapping by computer 4° earlier in separated rpm´s - windows or over the entire rpm-band. Here in germany today we only have octane higher than 92 - but the busa´s ignition point is set, at all models, for 89 octanes. What engine specialists (engineers) explained to me is that the higher the octane, the earlier the ignition point should be set. flash out the 02-07 ecu´s 6th gear restriction (and 2nd & 3rd too) switch two cabels in the two ecu-connectors (a. change rotor/flywheel from 16 (8 long "noses/bumps") to 32 bit (23 short "noses/bumps") I myself did the change from 16 to 32 bit at my ♀0 busas twice - both times with 100% full success - my busa ran/runs as fast as before (16 bit ecu) Resulting effect - you can install then the 99/00 speedo and it definitely will show the correct speed at ALL speeds you go - from 0 up to 220 mph. My brother did so a dozens of times and still do so. (standard wise, at least in germany, in the us too?, the 02-07 ecu also have a restriction at 2nd & 3rd gear - this you also can flash out) If you now want to get a 02-07 busa as fast as the 99/00 (340km/h / 220mph) you have to flash its ecu (02-07), means get / flash out the "6th gear limiter" (restriction). Flashable means : you can change the internal ecu mapping by a computer (+ programm and special interface) however you want.
